DANSK BIOTEK is committed to leverage the Danish biotech industry on a national and international basis. Part of our work is to raise the awareness nationally about the conditions for the biotech industry, which we do through the media and through correspondence to national governmental representatives.
Denmark has more than 150 biotech companies developing innovative drug candidates or innovative industrial solutions.
The Danish biotech industry is recognised world wide because of the long history of Danish biotech companies as world-leading within innovative drug development.
The Danish industrial biotechnology companies have traditionally been recognised due to their innovative, environmentally friendly, ressource saving solutions as replacements for traditional solutions in a range of industrial areas. The Danish enzyme manufacturers today produve more than 70% of the total enzyme production world wide.
